Thank you captain obvious. I guess I just like to pretend I can't walk long distances? I don't know, you be the judge of the way my body feels.
2. But, you don't look sick?!
We have literally created a hashtag for this because invisible illness sufferers hear this 25/8. I understand there is no physical evidence of my illness other than the beautiful bags under my eyes, but that doesn't mean nothing is wrong.
3. What do you mean you can't go anymore?
I know I know, canceling on people is rude but it just happens sometimes. I can't always predict when I'm going to start not feeling well. We might have made these plans early in the week, but after several days of studying for my exams my body is so exhausted I don't want to get out of bed.
4. You never do anything anymore!
Seriously? I already know that, trust me. I'm so sad that I can't do or be the extremely busy and outgoing person I once was, but I physically can't help it. Would I be upset with you if you stopped drinking soda or eating gluten because it hurt you?
5. It's just some stairs, you can do it!
But do you really want to go up the stairs when you could take the elevator? Nah.
6. Just do Yoga/Eat Clean/Go Vegan/Vegitarian/Exercise
Ok, l understand that these things make some people feel better, and I am so happy that it works for you! But I promise you I've probably already tried every fad diet and exercise plan out there. I do everything and anything to feel better, so If I'm not doing it already then it doesn't work. I can also say that exercising makes me feel wore. It uses energy that I need to do other tasks like sit up during class and stuff, you know just the normal stuff.
7. You look sick today, are you feeling alright?
I'm sick everyday, I just didn't wear extra makeup to cover it today. I'm pretty lazy when it comes to getting dressed for class and I could honestly care less whether you like the way I look or don't. I know I look sick today, I'm feeling it too.
